It is with a great sense of thankfulness for the privilege of the continued opportunity to serve our people that I accept the invitation to again be the Prime Ministerial candidate on the PPP/CIVIC slate.

During our terms, so far, we have largely overcome the anxieties, the insecurities, which accompanied the change of Government. We have been focusing on restoring and extending basic physical and social infrastructure – roads, drainage and irrigation, and seawalls; housing, education and health services, electricity and telecommunications.

Now, we must focus more on the work we do today and the work we can do tomorrow, and the way we work, so that soon time, we will be producing individually and all together ten times as much as we do today – goods and services that in quality, timeliness and aptness, steadily gain the preference of customers locally, regionally and globally.

Hinterland development must feature more, and many younger people must be taking leading roles.
