PPP/C CONGRATULATES GUYANA TEAM ON VICTORY AT 20/20 CRICKET SERIES FINAL

 

The People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) is happy and cheerful over Guyana’s victory at the Standford 20/20 Cricket Series Finals, this evening at the Standford Cricket Ground, Coolidge, St. John’s Antiqua. The party therefore congratulates the Guyana team on winning the championship, making it the first in history to win this title.

Guyana has not only won the series, but also gained confidence to achieve greater victory in the future. The unity and support behind the Guyana team at every stage was instrumental in their successes throughout the series. Guyanese from all walks of life celebrated this victory at home and abroad.

The PPP/C is proud of the performance demonstrated by the Guyana team, led by Captain Ramnaresh Sarwan. This great achievement resulted from the team not giving in to any pressure, even at a time when a win seem difficult towards the end of the play and advancing to the final on the strength of its strong teamwork.

The PPP/C has every hope that the players will continue with their excellent work for the Guyanese fans around the world. This victory will no doubt inspire greater victory to come for the Guyanese people.
