ROHEE SAYS PPP/C SUPPORT HAS GROWN COUNTRYWIDE

Executive Member of the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C), Mr. Clement Rohee yesterday said that support has grown in non-traditional strongholds of the PPP/C.

Mr. Rohee was at the time speaking at the opening of a Command Centre, Alexander Village, Georgetown which oversees party field work under ‘Ward A’ which includes Charlestown, Albouystown and West La Penitence.

Noting the PPP/C will win the August 28 elections with a bigger majority, Mr. Rohee is convinced that the performance of the incumbent PPP/C administration will bring it success. He recall in 2001, the PPP/C won 30 percent of the votes in West La Penitence and Albouystown respectively, boasting the take will be even greater this time around.

Mr. Rohee said the campaign strategy for these areas will bring positive vibration to the residents, many of whom were in the gathering.

Another Executive Member of the party, Cyril Belgrave urged the supporters and residents to remain focus on the performance of the PPP/C administration and demonstrate their confidence by ensuring the government is re-elected.

The PPP/C Georgetown Group has over 13 command centres in Georgetown that oversees field work in several areas.
